  25 Dec 1789. LETTER WITH NEWS FROM KIRKBY STEPHEN. Bundle 61, Doc 9. 19 cm x 15 cm. Remains of a red seal. Some edge tears. John RAILTON 25th. Decr. 1789 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Mr. OLDMAN at Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kirkbystephen Decr. 25th. 1789 Sir / I have Just Recd. a Letter by a Man cume with Mrs. LAMB’s funeral, from you with two Letters in it I recd one last night from you with three recepts Relaiting Mr. BIRD prescription for Little Musgrave. I give the one to Thos ROBINSON the other to Thos HEWETSON last night I shall pay Mr. BIRD before you cume up. I will get the Bils in as soun as I can for things goten to Blandses and send down to you. there was 4 Quarter & one peck of Oak bark In the Heaning. I also recd. the Rentrole for great and Litle Musgrave. I will Speak to Thos. HUTTON about the Cowclose I will give those notice to meet you at Soulby on the 16 of Jany. that have any property in it.
