26 May 1796. LETTER ABOUT SETTING UP A LIME KILN. Bundle 61, Doc 33. 20.5 cm x 18.5 cm. Red seal with corresponding hole where it was torn open. Thos. RELPH 26. May 1796 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lazonby May 26th. 1796 Dr. Sr. / I think the fault in the Pump will be its lowness of Water you nead not send any Body to look it –– I beg above all things you’ll settle with Geo: ARNITSON about a place for me to set a Lime Kiln I shall buy my Coals on him at the price other People pay for them and shall pay ready Money for them I wish this to be settled soon because a Kiln should be built in Summer I shall want a great quantity of Lime early the next Spring we are badly of at present forced to go all Night beside waiting weary time and at 21D. pr. Cart load if one had one of ones own certain of good Lime ready loading a far greater object nor even its price – I am / with great submission / your Hble. Servt. [signed] Thos. RELPH
