21 Apr 1777. SOLICITOR’S LETTER ABOUT A COURT CASE. Bundle 62, Doc 20. 40 cm x 25.5 cm, folded in half to make four pages. Second and fourth page blank. Crumpled edges, and remains of a red seal. Mr. GRAHAM 21st. Aprl. 1777. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. DOBSON at Edenhall to be left at Mrs. BUCHANNAN Penrith ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Sir / I send you a Draft of the Bond to MARTINDALE in order to your supplying the Blanks & setting any Facts Right which I have mistaken and you will either put the Bond upon Stamps or return it to be ingrossed. If no Award has been made between the GREENs & CARTWRIGHT &c I believe the practice requires that a Terms Notice should be given of Trial of CARTWRIGHTs Cause agt. the GREENs & most likely such Notices should also be given to the Agent of the Prosecutors for Trial of the Indictments therefore you should im~ediately write to Mr. MORGAN about those Concerns ~ I am Dear Sir / Your most obedt. h~ble Servt. Carlisle 21st. April 1777 ~ [signed] Stuart Ja GRAHAM
