BOWMAN) to appear at Naward Castle on Thursday first & Assist in settling some Disputes between the Heir at Law & her Son – As I am an Executor in the above Business ‘tis my wish to attend ––––– The Court for Staffield Manor happening upon the same day, I wrote Mr. RAMSHAY, desiring he would transact the Business tomorrow, & if he be not previously engagd. I have no doubt but he will agree to it ––– but as ‘tis possible the Case may be otherwise, I have desird. the Clark of this Town Viz your Pie Powder Crier to officiate in my place – I have Summond. a part of the Jury and shall tell the Rest this morning to Appear at J. JEFFERSON’s half past 10 OClock –– T. RAILTON & Son are both upon the Jury & wish to see you at Highbankhill (before the business begin) relating the Plantation Hedge which they are now casting ––– This morning I go to Carlisle & from thence to Brampton –– Least the Custom of this Manor escape yr.
