06 Jul 1790. LETTER WITH ADDITIONAL NEWS FROM KIRKOSWALD. Bundle 61, Doc 43. 15 cm x 10 cm. Remains of a black seal. Doc 43 was enclosed in Doc 42. Although Doc 43 was undated, 06 Jul 1790 was a Tuesday, and this letter was apparently written later the same morning as Doc 42. Mr. OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir / As I found Mr. CRAMPTON was not in a hurry I went to examine the wood, & find one tree 12ft.½ Long & 14I½ Square. 18ft. @ 2s –– £ 1 ~ 16 the other tree I think too little it only measures 10I.½ Square & 15 ft. Long @ 18D per ft. besides ‘tis Crookd. – If you & Mr. BOWMAN can agree for the large tree, we’ll make the other do for Fogclose Granary – I am yr. Hble Servt. [signed] Jno. DIXON Kirkosd.
