05 Jul 1790. LETTER WITH APOLOGIES FOR CANCELLING A VISIT. Bundle 61, Doc 45. 21 cm x 16.5 cm, folded in half to make four pages. Remains of a black seal. Mr. FISHER 5th. July 1790 ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Dear Sir, I returned from my western Excursion last week: & Mrs. F. & I fully purposed to wait upon you this week. But I am sorry to inform you that we shall be under the necessity of deferring our Visit. By some Accident my Mare has got lame, which will confine us at Home. As soon as she is able to travel, you may be sure of seeing us at Edenhall. In the mean Time Mrs. F. joins me in respectful Compts. to Mrs. O. & self – & I am ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ yr. affte.
