25 Feb 1790. LETTER DECLINING OFFER TO LEASE A QUARRY. Bundle 62, Doc 25. 20 cm x 17.5 cm. Hole where seal was torn out. George HODGSON 25th. Feby. 1790 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Staight line stamp mostly missing where seal was torn off:] [CARLIS]LE 2 Jnn OLDMAN Esqr Edenhall Penrith ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sir / I shoud have answer’d your favour of the 26th Ult to Mr NICOLSON before this – but coud not ascertain the exact quantity of Building I might have occasion to erect this Spring of or if it woud be worth notice to take the Quarrys at Blackhall Wood & which upon consideration I beg to decline I am Sir Your Obedt Servt [signed] George HODSON Dalston Feby 25th 1790
