Decr. 1789 ~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mr. Jona: OLDMAN Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Whamhead Decr. ye. 2d. –– 89 Dr. Cousins, Or rather Bretheren in the connubial State we have the Pleasure to be informed by your Parents who called here yesterday that you’ve been at the Alter of Hymen plighting your mutual troaths; my otherself joins me in congratulations, and please to accept of our warm and best wishes for your injoyment of all the Happiness attendant on that honourable state; we certainly would have visited on you Personaly on the occation, had not the Days been short the Roads & Wether bad, which compels us to reserve that pleasure ‘till those obstacles be removed. ––– We shall be exceeding glad to see you both here as soon as you can make it convenient to yourselves, when we shall have an opportunity ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ together of exulting in our forfited freedom and rejoicing in the pleasant chink of the Matrimonial Chains –– We return you many thanks for your your kind present which we received by the hands of your Parents.
