16 Oct 1789. LETTER WITH NEWS FROM KIRKBY STEPHEN. Bundle 62, Doc 18. 16.5 cm x 16.5 cm. Remains of red seal with corresponding hole where it was torn open. Several tears along file folds. Document in poor condition. John RAILTON 16th. I shall send you those Ould arears of Rents that is not paid the next weake, I send you the Account of the Lead which is weight of, goten by John DAWSON In the Riggs we have Stamp’t your Deauty for the Riggs at Each end & John DAWSONs In the Midle to Distinguish Birket Lead from the Riggs, we have had exceding wet weather ever Since Broughhill Fair we have never had 24 hours fair together Since you was hear Corn is all in a Shocking condition, I am Sir your most Obedient Servt. to command [signed] John RAILTON
