27 May 1787. LETTER WITH NEWS FROM KIRKBY STEPHEN. Bundle 60, Doc 27. 15.5 cm x 15 cm. Remains of a red seal. John RAILTON 27. May 1787. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ To Mr. DOBSON at Edenhall ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Kirkbys[teve]n May ye. 27th. 1787 Sir yours I recd. date of the 22th. with one for Thos ATKINSON which I shall get to him tomorrow. I shall get the Courts call’d according to order’s. I did ass Mr. PARK to let me See his Deeds but he was not agreable he said if there was a Court houlden they would then be Shown and if there was no Court he should send them to you and you would then see the rents and who he purches’d of. I sent you aletter of yesterday to let you know what I had maid out with Robt. SCOTT, if he’s at Kirby tomorrow I perhaps can sift some thing out of him if I can, we have fine growing weather at present Brother Jos. will be leading of them, Mr. MOUNKHOUSE is not pleas’d that Soulby Chpple is not gotten mended yet the windows I got glas’d a good while since. Thos. WINTER is makeing the wall up again to Robt. BOUSFIELD Mill. I am Sir your most obedt. Servt. to command [signed] John RAILTON
