21 Feb 1790. LETTER REGARDING RENT PAYMENTS. A pre stamp cover from Carlisle with contents about rent payment. With a CARLISLE straight line on the back. A bit grubby with the ubiquitous file fold, but otherwise a very fine letter. [Large straight stamp on back] CARLISLE for Mr. Jonat. OLDMAN at Edenhole to be left at Mrs. BOHANONs Penrith Cumberland ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Carlisle Febru. 21st. – 1790 Dear Sir / We sent you, with Isaac HOLMS Two Pounds. Twelve Shilings & Sixpence the seckend of February, and never Recd a Litter from you since, which make us think you have not Recved it. So youl be so kind as send us aletter & Direct it to William NICKLESONs The Gray Gate English Street Carlisle, As we are pushing Chalk Lime Kilns & are at a Great expence at present, youl Excuse us a While for the rest of the Rent and we will Remember you as soon as we can, so nomore at Present from your Very Humble Servent [signed] John SANDERSON
